Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how we handle personal information. By using the App, you are deemed to have agreed to this Policy.

The developer of “PomoMon” (the “App”) (the “Developer”) respects your privacy and strives to protect personal information. This Privacy Policy (this “Policy”) sets out how information is collected, used, and managed in the App.

Terms of use for the App are set forth in the Terms of Use.

If you do not agree to this Policy, please stop using the App.

2. Information we collect

We may collect or generate the following information to provide, maintain, and improve the service.

2.1 Information collected automatically

  • Device information: device type, OS version, app version, etc.
  • Usage statistics: frequency of use, feature usage, crash reports, error logs, etc.
  • Technical information: IP address and network connection information obtained in connection with communications (depending on services used)

2.2 Information you enter or generate

  • Display name: a name registered during initial setup, or a name assigned when starting as a guest
  • Task information: task names, selection state, creation dates, and other task data you register in the App
  • Timer settings: focus and break duration settings, etc.

2.3 Account and game data

After you complete required initial setup (such as registering a display name or starting as a guest), we may store the following on your device and in the cloud (see below).

  • Device identifier: a user ID issued by the App (e.g., a UUID generated per device). Accounts are managed in association with identifiers on the device
  • Game progress data: mana balance, gacha tickets, collection (monsters obtained, etc.), serial information for digital items, boost expiration times, etc.
  • Purchase status: Premium (monthly subscription) enrollment status (as verified through the App Store)
  • Device backup data: backup information for game progress, etc., for restoration when changing devices

2.4 Information visible to other users

Depending on your settings, your display name and details of digital items obtained (monster name, serial number, etc.) may be shown to other users of the App on the acquisition timeline. The scope of visibility follows in-app settings and displays.

2.5 Information related to advertising

If ads are shown to users who have not subscribed to paid services, advertising providers (such as Google) may collect and use the following for ad delivery.

  • Advertising identifiers (such as IDFA, depending on device settings and OS specifications)
  • Information about ad impressions, clicks, and completed views
  • Device information, IP address, and other data needed for ad delivery

Whether ads are personalized may be changed through your device OS settings, where available.

2.6 Information we generally do not collect

Within the normal scope of App use, we do not collect the following.

  • Legal name, address, or phone number
  • Email address (except when you contact us)
  • Date of birth or gender
  • Location information (when the App’s features do not use location)

If collection changes due to specification updates or new features, we will revise this Policy and notify you in the App or on this website as needed.

2.7 Information when you contact us

When you contact us through a contact form or similar means, we may collect the following.

  • Content of your inquiry
  • Contact details needed to reply (such as email address, to the extent you provide them)
  • Device information, app version, user identifier, etc., needed to resolve issues

3. Purposes of use

Collected information is used only for the following purposes.

  • Providing the service: timer, task management, gacha, collection, acquisition timeline, paid services, ad rewards, and related features
  • Sync and storage: syncing device data with cloud data and restoring device backups
  • Display name and timeline: ensuring unique display names, posting to and displaying on the acquisition timeline, updating posts when the display name changes
  • Billing management: confirming subscription status and restoring purchases
  • Ad delivery: showing reward and interstitial ads and granting benefits when viewing is completed
  • Technical support: investigating issues, fixing bugs, and responding to inquiries
  • Security: preventing misuse and improving security
  • Analytics: analyzing service improvement (anonymized or aggregated where possible)
  • Legal compliance: complying with applicable laws

We do not use collected information for purposes other than those listed above.

4. Sharing and disclosure

4.1 Disclosure to third parties

Except in the following cases, the Developer does not provide collected information to third parties.

  • When we have your prior consent
  • When required by law or legal process
  • When necessary to protect the life, body, or property of you or a third party
  • When entrusting processing to trusted third-party services to the extent necessary to provide the App

4.2 Service providers and third-party services

The App uses the following third-party services. Each service handles information according to its own privacy policy.

  • Google Firebase (Firestore, etc.): storage and sync of game progress, profiles, acquisition timeline, device backups, and related cloud features
  • Google Firebase (analytics, crash reporting, etc.): usage analytics and collection of crashes and errors (when used in the App configuration)
  • Google AdMob: ad delivery and measurement
  • Apple App Store: purchase, billing, and restoration of paid services (subscriptions)

Information posted to the acquisition timeline is visible to other users of the App.

5. Protection, storage, and deletion

5.1 Security measures

The Developer takes appropriate security measures to protect collected information.

5.2 Where data is stored

App data may be stored in the following locations.

  • On your device: timer settings, tasks, portions of game progress, device identifiers, etc.
  • Cloud (Google Firebase, etc.): profiles, game progress, acquisition timeline posts, device backups, etc.
  • Third-party services: on each provider’s servers to the extent needed for ads, analytics, and billing

Cloud data is primarily stored in data centers operated by Google. Storage country or region depends on each service’s specifications.

5.3 Retention period

Information is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the service or as required by law. Information used to respond to inquiries is deleted within a reasonable period after the response is completed, where practicable.

5.4 Account deletion

If you delete your account through the designated process in the App, we will generally delete on-device app data and cloud-stored profiles, game progress, task records, etc.

However, content posted to the acquisition timeline may remain after deletion. In that case, the display name shown on such posts may be changed to a label such as “Deleted user” as determined by the Developer. Information we must retain by law may be kept to the extent of that obligation.

Data that exists only on your device can be removed by deleting the App or similar actions.

6. Your rights

To the extent permitted by law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information about you. Please contact us using the details in Section 10. We may ask you to verify your identity using your device identifier, display name, or information you provided when contacting us.

For technical or operational reasons, we may not be able to delete all information immediately, or we may be unable to delete posts remaining on the acquisition timeline. In such cases, we will respond to the extent possible and explain the reasons.

7. Use by minors

If a minor uses the App, please do so with consent from a parent or legal guardian. Parents and guardians should pay attention to how minors use the App and to privacy settings (including posts to the acquisition timeline).

8. Changes to this Policy

The Developer may change this Policy as needed. For material changes, we will notify you in advance where possible through in-app notice or announcement on this website. The revised Policy takes effect when posted on this page.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

This Policy is governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes relating to privacy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
